Sean Purcell currently holds the position of Chief, Field Procurement Service, with the United Nations Procurement Division, based in New York. Previously, he held the position of Chief, Peace Keeping Procurement Section from March 2010 until his most recent appointment in 2012. Prior to Mr Purcell’s assignment with the Procurement Division in 2006, he has performed the function of Chief Procurement Officer with the United Nations Mission in Sudan from 2005 to 2006. Before 2004, Mr Purcell held various appointments in Lebanon, Syria and the West Bank with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in the Middle East. Mr Purcell holds a Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland. He is married with two daughters.

Saab Grintek Defence
Micael Johansson is Senior Vice President and Head of Electronic Defence Systems at Swedish defence and security company Saab, specialising in Radar, Electronic Warfare and Avionics. Mr Johansson has more than 28 years of experience in programme management, operations management and business development in the Swedish defence industry, starting out as a systems engineer at former Ericsson Radio Systems in 1985. He later held various management positions at Ericcson Saab Avionics, where he was appointed President in 2008 until his current appointment in 2010. Mr Johansson is Chairman of the boards for Saab Grintek Defence, Saab South Africa, Saab Middle East and MEDAV GmbH in Germany. He is also a member of the board at Saab Defence and Security in the United States. He holds a BSc+ in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Uppsala in Sweden, and various management training courses under his belt.
Thales South Africa
Justice Tootla currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Thales South Africa Systems. Affiliated to the multinational global Thales Group, Mr Tootla joined the local entity as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2012. With over 20 years of experience in the Engineering, Petrochemical and Telecoms industry, Mr Tootla’s humble beginnings as a trainee with the Edcon Group in 1994 saw him vigorously ascend within these sectors to Divisional Director, Marketing Director and finally progressing to Chief Executive Office of Prowalco in 2008. Mr Tootla graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1993. He went on to complete his Program of Management at GIBBS University and received his Masters degree in Business Leadership from the school of Business Leadership through UNISA. In addition, he also obtained his Senior Management recognition from the University of Thales in France.
Özcan Kahramangil is the Vice President at Aselsan, responsible for strategy and new business development. He began his professional career in 1984 as an engineer at Aselsan, afterwards working as a Chief, Vice Manager and Mechanic Optics Design Manager in the Microelectronics, Guidance and Electro-Optics Division. In 2004/2005, he worked as the Director of Air and Naval Programs and served as the Aselsan Vice President and Head of Microelectronics, Guidance and Electro-Optics from 2006 to 2014. Mr Kahramangil was born in Bursa and graduated from Middle East Technical University in 1984. He received his Master’s degree in mechanical Engineering from the same institution. He is married with two children.
Denel Integrated Systems and Maritime
Ismail Dockrat is the CEO of Denel Integrated Systems and Maritime. He has more than ten years’ experience at CEO level. He was previously CEO of Denel Aerostructures (2010-2014), Denel Aviation (2007-2009), and Wesgro (2004-2006). He was awarded South Africa’s Boss of the Year title in 2005. Previous positions include a stint at Trade and Investment South Africa as General Manager, and at Armscor as project manager in the aeronautics logistics division. He began his career at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Mr Dockrat holds a national diploma in electronics engineering and completed his MBA at the University of Cape Town. After completing his MBA he spent a period at Cambridge University as a visiting scholar under the Sainsbury Management Fellowship.
